Styled after Mr. Beast, I’ve paired up with Wild Basin Fitness for this challenge which is open to middle school and high school kids from Steiner Ranch. The winner gets a $100 Visa gift card and all contestants are in the drawing for a one-month student membership at Wild Basin. What exactly is the challenge? An exercise bike endurance race! In Round 1, contestants will ride in a seated position starting at 60 rpm for one minute, then 70 rpm for one minute, etc, for a total of five minutes. In Round 2, the riders can no longer sit on the bike and the tension is increased. Again, there are one minute riding intervals starting at 60 rpm and increasing from there. We’ll keep going as many rounds as it takes (increasing the tension between each round), until there is one winner left peddling. The challenge will be held at Wild Basin Fitness on Sunday, December 6th at 3:00pm.
All contestants will need to have a parent/guardian sign a waiver beforehand. Spaces are limited so if more kids register than we can accept, we’ll do a random drawing for the spots. Of course, covid precautions will be in place. Registration deadline is Wednesday, December 2 at 9:00pm.
