Inventory levels across Texas were very similar in July 2018 as they were in July 2017. With inventory levels, nearly equal, during those time periods, you might expect to see a similarly flat change in the number of homes sold. That is not the case this July, 6.9% more resale homes in 2018 compared to 2017. More homes sold, and for higher prices. We had yet another month with an increase in median price, up 9.6% in July 2018.
Head here to review the Austin sales figures for July. Also, come back next month to find out how the Texas real estate market performs in August. While the pace of sales tends to slow as we head into the fall season, it’s still a very good time to buy or sell. If you, or someone you know, has plans to move in the coming months, please don’t hesitate to call so we can discuss a plan of action.
