Greetings! I’m Craig Smyser with RE/MAX Capital City. Welcome to the March 2016 edition of “How’s the Market in Horizon Park.”
2016 is off to an unusual start in Horizon Park. Just like January, February had zero closings. That makes this the third time in the last four years that there has been a shutout month. More interestingly, according to MLS stats, there has never been a two month stretch with no home sales in the history of Horizon Park. Is it because there are no buyers? Absolutely not! The reality is there have been very few homes for sale. There are numerous homes under contract now so I know for sure there are sales in March that we can discuss next month.
I’d like to invite you to my upcoming workshop, “How to Protest Your Property Tax Appraisal.” This workshop will be held in early May at a location yet to be determined, but I will keep you updated once it is finalized. During this free workshop, I will teach you the process of protesting your property tax appraisal. In addition, I can provide you with the comparable sales from 2015 that will help you determine if you should protest – these comps can also be used if you do indeed protest your appraisal at the Williamson Central Appraisal District. I’ve taught this workshop for six years, but this is the first time I’ll be doing it for Horizon Park. As the date gets nearer, I’ll provide more information.
As always, my website allows you to look at summary and detailed data for each home in Horizon Park. Simply go to HousesInLeander.com and click Search Sold Data link under the Search Homes tab.
If you have to buy or sell this year, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to earn your real estate business. You can contact me at 512-650-7300 or Craig@HousesInLeander.com. Thanks for reading “How’s The Market In Horizon Park.”
