Looking back in time with this Vintage Austin photo from The Austin History Center, Austin Public Library, titled 'Old Red Campus Building, John T. Allan Campus of Stephen F. Austin High School.' This photo captures the school with a parking lot of 1920s cars, along with a boy wearing knickers. Built in 1900, at 9th Street and Trinity Street, it proudly served as the home of Austin High School until 1925. It then became John T. Allan Junior High School, hosting classes until 1956, when it was tragically destroyed by fire.  The legacy of this landmark lives on, commemorated by a State of Texas Subject Marker placed on the site in 1981 by the Texas Historical Commission.
