Which homebuilder sells the most in the Austin area? While I can gather numbers from the MLS, not all new construction homes are listed there. But thanks to a company called Zonda, I’ve got the list of the builders who build the most in our area based on permits filed for construction. The top 5 are: #5 is KB Homes. In general, they build entry-level homes. #4 is Taylor Morrison Homes which is usually in the mid-priced point. #3 is Pulte homes who builds from entry level to mid-price. #2 is Lennar who builds mostly entry level but does go up to mid-price, and coming in at #1 is DR Horton which is entry level and mid-price, though those are built under a different name.
