Sometimes I Fail

Sometimes I fail.  When I’m hired to sell a client's home, odds are I’m going to sell it.  Over the past ten years, I can count on one hand how many times a client ended up having to hire another agent to get the job done.  It’s a great track record, but not 100%.  Sometimes it’s just a clash of styles and I’m as happy to move on as the seller.  Other times it really is just a gut punch because I failed at what I was hired to do.  Sure, I can try to justify it by blaming the market or something, but I really just presume that it was something I did or didn’t do that caused the failure.  I always find something in the process that I can improve to try to do it better in the future.  Everybody fails and you can find a host of motivational quotes that, in general, say the virtue is in how you respond after failure.  And that is true.  But I sure strive to sell every house I list so I can help my clients.
