Curious about the most expensive homes to sell in Austin so far in 2022?  By a mile, the most expensive was just over $12 million.  It was on Lake Austin with over 3 acres.  With the main house and guest house combined, it was over 8000 square feet.  I thought the house itself was underwhelming – it was the location that made it this valuable.  There were two homes that sold between $7 and $8 million.  One of them was a palatial 15,000 square foot home on 8 acres in Barton Creek that looked just like you’d expect from a home of that price.  The other was an almost 9,000 square foot home in Spanish Oaks that used to be owned by the newly-retired Torchy’s Tacos CEO.  In total, 10 homes have sold over $5 million in Travis County this year.  To put these in perspective, there are currently 5 homes under contract above $5 million in Travis County and a whopping 47 for sale.  If you’re a buyer in this price range, you’ve got a lot of choices.  Call or text me at 512-650-7300 to start the conversation.
