Discover Steiner Ranch: You Know You're From Steiner If...

Steiner Ranch is a great community. Those who live here will find this video rings true!  If you'd prefer to read the list, the script can be found below the video.

Greetings, I’m Craig Smyser with 1835 Realty. I know firsthand that Steiner Ranch is a wonderful place to live. So I thought it would be fun to take a different look at life here. You know you’re from Steiner if…

  • You do your main grocery shopping at HEB and treat Randalls like a big convenience store.
  • You’ve seen a rattlesnake. Or two. Or ten.
  • You know that Cups and Cones is the unofficial meeting place of Steiner Ranch.
  • You’ve learned how to distinguish your neighbor’s dog from a coyote.
  • You check the Four Points Traffic Alert group on FB before you even think about leaving the neighborhood.
  • You still miss The Market. - You’re seen a few “important people” who don’t have to worry about these pesky signs near Canyon Ridge.
  • You’ve gotten an HOA email that one of the pools is closed for a few days because…well, let’s just say not all of our little swimmers are potty trained.
  • You love eating at Lakeside Pizza, but wonder what happened to the lake that must have been beside it at some point.
  • When you’re kid has all kinds of Viper swag – and they’re not even in high school yet.
  • You’ve participated in at least one Facebook thread fantasizing about what new restaurants we want in the neighborhood.
  • You tell everyone that all three elementary schools are equally great, but secretly know your’s is the best!
  • You’ve got great amenities like the Lake Club at your fingertips, but don’t use them as much as you want.
  • You thought you lived in the City of Austin until someone told you that its just your mailing address.
  • You know that 45, 35, 45, 40, 35 is not a series of lottery numbers, but the speed limits on Quinlan Park Road.
  • You remember when Poppy’s was the restaurant here. And Hecho en Mexico. And Thai Harmony. And Suelo Nuevo. And la Fuentes. And Tutto Gusto. Yes, let’s hope this one is successful.
  • You don’t think the term Steiner Whiner applies to you.It probably does.

So while Steiner may have its quirks, it sure is a great place to call home! I’m Craig Smyser with 1835 Realty and when you’re ready to buy or sell real estate in Steiner Ranch, I’m ready to help.
