Austin Ranks Number 10

We’ve made the top 10!  That’s right, recent census data shows that in 2022 Austin became the 10th largest city in the US with a population of almost 975,000 people.  Texas now claims 4 of the top 10 spots with Houston at 4, San Antonio at 7, and Dallas at 9.  This list is just for the city – it is not for metro areas.  On the metro area list, the Austin area comes in at number 26.  Looking at the suburbs, they also grew quickly.  Georgetown retained it’s status as the fastest growing city in the US (for cities with a population already over 50,000).  It grew at a 14.4% annual clip.  Kyle and Leander took the third and fourth spots on the list.  We’ve certainly seen the influx of people to the area slowing down, but it’s going to continue for a long time.  If you’re moving to Central Texas, I’d appreciate the opportunity to help you buy a home.
