2023 Property Tax Appraisals

Property tax appraisals are now available. Both Travis and Williamson Counties have now released most of the 2023 tax appraisals.  Interestingly, the counties values vary quite a bit.  On average, the tax appraisals in Williamson County are down 12% from last year while the average in Travis County for residential properties is up ever so slightly by 0.1%.  I can assure you, there is not that much divergence in the real estate prices between the two counties.  MLS stats show a 6.7% decline in sale prices from January ‘22 to January ‘23 in Travis.  Williamson shows a 4.8% decline.  Congrats to those in Williamson and to those in Travis, it’s another big screw you from the fine folks at the Travis Central Appraisal District.
