February 2019 Home Sale Data – Austin
The number of homes sold in February 2019 increased compared to February 2018 mark both when excluding and including new construction sales. Resale home sales rose 6.4% while all single family home sales increased 7.5%. Parts of Austin have seen a lower than usual inventory level, likely causing the homes to sell faster and for an amount closer to the list price. You'll see this demonstrated as the days on market have dropped and the list price to sales price ratio has increased. You can find additional sales … [Read more...]

Other Discover Austin topics mentioned in this episode: Bluebonnets Blue Bell has long been a part of life in Texas. When we decided to come out to the Little Creamery, I knew … [Read more...]

The number drops to 99 for homes for sale for at least one year. To see an always updated list of homes for sale for at least … [Read more...]
Vintage Austin: Construction of the UT Tower
Constructed of the tower at the University of Texas began in 1934 and was completed in 1937. The tower of the Main Building at the University is a well-known landmark. The main building was originally the central library while the 27-story tower housed the book stacks. If you wanted to make a selection, you’d first search the mammoth card catalog, then relay your choice to the front desk, and finally wait. Waiting on the roller skate clad Tower Librarians, at their busiest, could take more than an hour and a … [Read more...]
