Existing home sales are up across the country, including Texas. Nationally, the number of homes sold increased 8.3% and the median price of a home jumped 6.8% compared to March 2017. March 2017 Existing Home Sales – Austin
The first two months of 2017 outperformed those of 2016 in terms of the number of homes sold, with and without new construction homes included. Sadly, in March 2017 we begin to fall slightly short. Vintage Austin – Travis County Courthouse
In this Vintage Austin photo is the 1876 Travis County Courthouse, then located on the southwest corner of 11th and Congress. By 1931, the unwanted occupants of the building (rats, pigeons, etc.) forced the county offices to relocate. Once remodeled, the building became home to State agencies and was renamed the Walton Building. It remained this way until 1964 when it was demolished. … [Read more...]
