HUD Makes Change to Bid Timeframes for HUD Homes
Effective December 1, 2013, the Exclusive bidding period for HUD Homes is changing from 30 days to 15 days. The Exclusive bid period is more commonly known as the time during which only owner-occupants are allowed to bid on homes. Up until this point, investors had to wait until the 31st day to bid on homes classified as 'Insured' or 'Insured with Escrow.' With the new change, investors can bid on day 16. AT&T to Bring Ultrafast Gigabit Internet Service to Austin
Yesterday, AT&T announced that it is brining ultrafast internet access to Austin by the middle of 2014. The internet speeds will reach up to 100 gigabits per second which is about 100 times faster than traditional hi-speed internet that we currently have. This is in direct competition with what Google plans. Both companies have been granted waivers so that they can target which areas of town they will serve (generally companies have to serve the whole city). Vandegrift High School’s 4th Annual Kicking for Cash
I'm proud to be the sole sponsor for Vandegrift High School's 4th Annual Kicking for Cash contest to be held during halftime of the August 30th football game against McNeil (the game starts at 7:00pm). In this event, students will kick field goals in an effort to win cash for various student organizations at Vandegrift.
