Many folks in Steiner Ranch have been wanting to help victims of the fire.  There was such an outpouring of support that there was simply far more donated than needed in Steiner.  Therefore, many of those helping with the relief effort are focusing on getting items to Spicewood and Bastrop.

On Saturday, September 17, from 10:00am to 11:00am, my moving truck will be at Westridge Park on Flat Top Ranch Road collecting donations to be delivered to Spicewood (I'm not in charge, I'm just providing the truck).  The items will be delivered to Grace Outreach Family Church in Spicewood and they will distribute eveything.  Below is a list of items they need:

High demands: (items of lower need listed further below)

100 ft 12 gauge thick elec extension cords
In need of men and women’s shoes – all sizes (work boots and tennis shoes)
Small (dorm/desk) Fridges (large also accepted)

Disposable face masks

Looking to borrow a portable ice-machine.  It will be returned.

Anyone giving a monetary donation may meet directly with Pastor Tommy, the HUB Coordinator, or Austin Disaster Relief Network group to see and find out exactly where your money will be going and how it will be used.  You will be given non-profit letter for tax purposes.

Donations needed!

new socks/ new underwear (all sizes)
Racks – for setting up items for families
Folding tables (light weight) – round or rectangular (donate or borrow), card tables OK too.
Sharpie markers
Legal notepads
Post It notes
Gel ink pens (must be gel – works on all forms)
50 ft water hoses!
Anything on the High Demands list (above)!!!

Furniture & bedding:

Also taking gently used, working condition furniture and beds.  (If you would use it, then donate it.)

Additional items but lower priority at this time:

Clothes still being taken but they would prefer to concentrate on most of the items listed above (volunteers, funds, supplies).  If you have a small bag, that is fine.  It is very helpful to group clothes together by sizes and separate in bags.

Toys and books, kitchen items, etc.
Toiletries
Other every day, useful items
